Team Eden are delighted to have been shortlisted with our client for two national awards at the British Council of Shopping Centres (BCSC) 2015 Purple Apple Marketing Awards. Our Purple Apple marketing award submissions were made with Howgate Shopping Centre who are part of Ellandi LLP – the UK’s leading investment manager in community shopping centres. The BCSC Purple Apple Marketing Awards ceremony which takes place on 7th May 2015 recognises and rewards innovation and excellence in town centre and shopping centre marketing. Two submissions have been shortlisted by the BCSC Purple Apple judging panel: for ‘Best Event Marketing’ and the ‘Best Marketing Team’ within each budget category.
Our Event Marketing shortlisting entitled ‘Wings Over Falkirk’ is for the Falkirk Past & Present – Shaping the Future exhibition. The exhibition was an unique partnership between Howgate, Eden, The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland (RCAHMS) and Falkirk Community Trust.
Designed and produced by Eden, the exhibition attracted over 7,000 visitors during the five weeks that it was open and attracted significant press and radio coverage in addition to social media buzz.
The Best Marketing Team shortlisting recognises our work in conjunction with Howgate’s in-house team during the course of 2014. Included in the submission is our 11metre long illustrated large format tourist map; the Howgate’s hugely popular Kids Club marketing and advertising; a sports-based ‘ Wee Champions’ competition linked to the Glasgow Commonwealth Games; our festive marketing campaign; and a thought provoking ‘Falkirk Remembers’ exhibition commemorating the Centenary of World War One.
The Eden and Howgate team will be dressed to impress on 7th May. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that a BCSC Purple Apple Award or maybe even two will be heading back north with us. Stay tuned for updates on our social media.
