Branding and Marketing Summer Update

Team Eden have been hard at work delivering a whole host of new and exciting projects.

First up, Wee Bear Café, a great new venture and sub-brand for Lodge at Lochside. A relaxed and friendly North American feel to the new logo and identity matched the top notch coffee and fresh home cooking on offer in the new café adjoining the lodge. The branding was applied across new signage and marketing collateral, promotional banners and business cards. Wee Bear Café branded coffee stencils offer a decorative touch and a well presented cup of coffee. Branded parasols are also in production. The lodge and the cafe continue to wow their burgeoning number of happy visitors. Regular and new customers are firmly on the scent of Wee Bear’s sumptuous home baking and its carefully considered and tastefully branded surroundings.

Another client looking to update their image this summer with a new logo and brand refresh was Killin Hotel. We got to work designing a great new identity which was applied to: business cards, banners, windbreaks and external signage along with some very smart branded notepads and pencils for the rooms.

Heritage Retail Transformation

Eden Callendar House

Eden completed a retail makeover at Callendar House shop in June working in collaboration with the Callendar House team. The main goal of the project was to brighten the retail area and make it more enticing to customers in time for the start of the busy summer season. Branded backdrops were applied to the shelving units giving the room a burst of colour and raising visitor awareness of the products on offer in the shop. A typographic representation of a Roman Centurion has also taken up residence and stylised graphic manifestations were added to the windows and glazed inner doors to complete the transformation.

A record breaking year for Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival 2015

Eden Edinburgh Jazz Festival 2015

As the curtain-raiser to Edinburgh’s world famous summer arts extravaganza, Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival featured more than 150 concerts staged across venues ranging from the historic Tron Kirk, the Queen’s Hall and the Festival Theatre to pop-up venues in St Andrew Square and George Square.

Team Eden created a new logo and brand identity for this year’s festival. We additionally designed and produced the festival brochure and associated marketing collateral including posters, leaflets, promotional banners. New logos and adverts were also created for the hugely popular Edinburgh Festival Carnival and the Mardi Gras Sunday spectacular. The festival itself was great fun, with a packed programme that boasted top quality jazz, hip-hop, gospel and blues musicians from over 16 countries.

This year saw the Festival recording its best-ever box office returns, with ticket sales up more than 13 per cent on 2014 – the most successful in the festival’s 37-year-history.

The Festival’s new venue in St Andrew Square saw some great gigs and a large number of sell-outs concerts in addition to those in the city’s traditional festival venues. Concerts at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre also significantly exceeded sales expectations.

Star turns included Curtis Stigers, Jools Holland, Songhoy Blues, the McCrary Sisters and George Benson, who brought the event to a close on 26 July 2015.

Retail Therapy at The Howgate Centre

Howgate Shopping Centre Marketing Campaign

We’ve been busy with a host of summer events and engaging marketing campaigns for Howgate Shopping Centre, part of Ellandi, the UK’s leading specialist in community shopping centres. ‘The Sunday Sessions’, provide singers and musicians with a platform to show off their talent. Working with The Howgate, Eden designed and developed the printed and digital/social marketing elements which included a branded YouTube channel. The ‘Amazing Duvet Challenge’, was another successful campaign combining social media and traditional marketing to engage shoppers to race against the clock to make a bed in the fastest possible time. The upcoming football season features Howie’s Half Time Challenge complete with our eight metre long illustrated Howie The Goalie at Falkirk FC’s home matches and a branded ‘Falkirk FC Strip Search’ competition within the shopping mall where entrants are in with a chance of winning a 2015/16 family season ticket.

Stay tuned. Our next update will be along shortly.
