Edinburgh Jazz Festival Hits The Streets

Our brochure design for the 2015 Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival is printed and hits the streets today. With 150 concerts, 10 days and 1000 performers all packed into one cool programme, this year’s festival is set to be bigger and more successful than ever.

Brian Fallon, chair of EJF said: “Last year saw record attendances, record sales and a feast of high quality music. 2015 looks set to be another record-breaker and we look forward to welcoming old and new friends. We have a great line-up with something for everyone”.

Traditional Buildings Health Check (TBHC)

Traditional buildings can be found in almost every village, town and city. Many of these are in daily use.

There are over 455,000 traditional dwellings in Scotland, equivalent to around 20% of Scotland’s domestic stock. Keeping these houses wind and watertight, and in good repair can be a major challenge.

The Beat of the Dram

This year’s Lagavulin Islay Jazz Festival took centre stage on the Scottish island in September.  A heady mix of internationally renowned musicians and unique venues, ranging from the island’s distilleries, the Gaelic college, a chocolate factory and an RSPB nature reserve, all add to the unique atmosphere of the festival.
